The client set out to solve a problem everyone recognizes: contact details go stale the moment they are saved. Instead of organizations storing outdated phone numbers, emails, and addresses, the vision was a platform where users hold a verified, live identity that trusted connections access directly — always current, always under the user’s control.

Delivering this meant balancing strong security with everyday usability. Identities and shared data had to be authentic, contact lists had to stay synchronized in real time, and users needed fine-grained control over what they shared and with whom — across personal, social, professional, and enterprise contexts

ZAPTA designed and delivered HandZhake, a secure networking app with eID and biometric verification, selective Card sharing, Relations, Nearby networking, and a web admin panel, rolled out across Denmark and the USA.
